James Raymond is a video artist specializing in live performances. Born in upstate New York and now based in Los Angeles. After graduating from film school and participating in LA’s DIY music scene, he discovered that his work thrives in live space music venues, bars, house parties, and festivals. Collaborating across genres including rock, hip hop, and electronic music, Raymond brings his animations and visuals to life, allowing their energy to exist fully in spaces that are both chaotic and captivating. His visual language combines 2D and 3D animation, feedback loops, and archival footage, often drawing inspiration from the past rather than the present. He recently performed with Together Pangea at Coachella 2025 and is currently pursuing his MFA at the California Institute of the Arts.
