Adrienne Miikelle is a Lighting Designer, Visual Artist, and Storyteller based in Brooklyn. Recognizing that the bulk of any project takes place during its process, she practiced in many media before discovering a rhythm in telling stories through light. Describing herself as a visual artist and storyteller allows for the acknowledgement of the building blocks of her creativity, which landed her here – seeking to collaborate with others to push ideas to the point of the collective “click” which confirms that something special has been created. Outside of theatre, she enjoys plants and elevation.

Andre Segar is an African American Lighting Designer. Graduate of Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama with a BFA in Lighting Design. He is currently at NYU in Tisch’s Design for Stage and Film pursuing his MFA.  

His work has been seen and supported by Off Broadway’s Pipeline at A.R.T/NY,  Williamstown Theater Festival, The CAC in New Orleans, The Kelly Strayhorn Theater, MTC at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater, Playwright Horizon, The Brick, The New Ohio, Chatham University, Rauh Theater at CMU, the Lenfest Theatre at CU, the Tisch Dance Company at NYU in the Jack Crystal Theater, and the Shubert Theatre.

Ari Kim (She/Her) is lighting designer who originated from Seoul, South Korea and based in NYC. She have been working on Theatre art, Dance and performance art in museums. She is interested in the story which is told about boundary and marginalized community, queer, feminism, and immigrants’ life.

Eduardo Ramirez is a Puerto Rican lighting designer, currently finishing his MFA in Lighting Design at Boston University. Eduardo graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a BA in theatre liberal arts. He’s worked in many areas of theatrical production, including technical direction, carpentry, scenic design, electrics, and run crew.

Eduardo is passionate about pursuing ways with which to engage with communities through theatre and entertainment. His mission is to create art that’s impactful and moving, while uplifting marginalized communities and doing his part to create meaningful and positive change in American Theatre. Eduardo is also dedicated to working on new works and Latiné centered theatre.

Elba Emicente Sanchez is an artist and lighting designer from Mexico based in Austin, TX. She has focused her career on dance, theater, music, opera, and live productions worldwide, principally as a lighting designer and assistant technical director. Since 2016, Elba has been integral to Ballet Incluyente, a dance project that advocates for inclusivity in the arts.

Elba's talents have earned her prestigious awards and fellowships, including the Incentive Program for Creation and Artistic Development of Puebla, Mexico (2022), and the Community Connections Fellowship (2021) from UC San Diego, where she recently graduated. 

Currently, she is the lighting director of Contra-Tiempo, an activist theater dance company led by Ana Maria Alvarez, and she works in collaboration with LAMP (Lighting Art Music Projection). Elba continues pushing boundaries and lighting stages with her creativity and dedication to inclusivity and community work.

Erik Alkire is a lighting designer, programmer, and design visualization specialist working throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties, California. Erik has a unique sense of artistic vision that is backed up by a wealth of detailed technical understanding. Whether working on an internationally televised live broadcast, or an academic production, Erik is always focused on finding creative and impactful design solutions for the project. He always brings his joy for bringing light to a story. Erik is currently an MFA student of theatrical lighting design at UCLA.

Gabriel Rodriguez is a freelance Lighting Designer based in New York and California with over 10 years of experience in theatre, opera, dance, corporate events, film, and television. Born and raised in the Inland Empire, he is a storyteller, educator, and mentor interested in collaborations that welcome anti-ableist and anti-racist pedagogy and work that celebrates accessibility, diversity, equity, and transparency. He uses light as a medium to communicate both intellectual and emotional ideas to an audience. 

As a lighting designer, Gabriel’s work has been seen at HERO Theatre, Shotgun Players, New York Theatre Festival, IRT Theater, City Point Brooklyn, Fox Performing Arts Center Riverside, Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Complex Studios Hollywood, UCLA, NYU, and UC Riverside. As an assistant lighting designer, his work has been seen at the Geffen Playhouse, Williamstown Theatre Festival, 59E59 Theatres, Manhattan Theatre Club, Ma-Yi Theatre Company, Disney Cruise Lines, Pasadena Playhouse, and Center Theatre Group.

Kaitlin Trimble is a lighting designer for the stage with experience designing theater, opera, and dance. She brings a love of character and form to her practice, always seeking layers of light that influence and underscore narratives. Her multifaceted background in design makes her a powerful collaborator in establishing the atmosphere of a story and the inner workings of characters.

She currently attends UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television to obtain her M.F.A. in Entertainment Design after earning her B.A. in Technical Theater from Long Beach State University.


Her most recent work includes designing the new production of Kate Soper’s Ipsa Dixit with Long Beach Opera and Martha Graham Dance Academy. Kaitlin has also assisted on projects like Fat Ham (west coast premiere) and A Transparent Musical (world premiere). Upcoming projects include assisting on the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Yellow Face at the Todd Haimes Theater.

Kat Morrill (she/her) is a lighting designer and programmer based in New York City.   She will soon receive her MFA in Design and Technical Production from Brooklyn College, where she is also an adjunct instructor.  Kat’s approach to lighting design is informed by her background as a classically trained musician.  She analyzes scripts the way she used to analyze scores – identifying their forms, motifs, tempos, and tonal shifts and responding with light.  Her work is further informed by 14 years of experience as a lighting technician and operator at companies including Tuacahn Amphitheatre, Northern Stage, and Cirque du Soleil.  Recent lighting designs:  The Play That Goes Wrong, Side by Side by Sondheim (Northern Stage), Intimate Apparel, The Skriker (Brooklyn College).  Kat is from the desert and is usually cold.  She lives in Manhattan with her wife and their precious cat.  Kat is a member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.

Kayo Tokuue is a Lighting Designer for theatre, dance, and performance art based in New England, New York City, and her native Japan. She is a recent MFA graduate in Lighting Design from the University of Connecticut, and she received a BA in Drama with honors in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of California, Irvine. She is fascinated by lighting how it can change a space in a moment, and how it can enhance a performance visually and emotionally. Her role as a lighting designer is a collaboration with all artists and she strives to create a harmonious connection between lighting and the piece, design, and art on stage. Recent design credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Connecticut Repertory Theatre), Nothing Really Matters by Abigail Baird, War of the Worlds 2023: A Servant of Two Networks by Jaron Hollander (Connecticut Repertory Theatre).

I’m a theater artist, designer and technician. From Denver, CO, I have lived in Boston, MA for the last 8 years. I am currently a graduate student in Lighting Design at Boston University’s School of Theater. Previously, I taught stagecraft and lighting crafts at MIT Theater Arts. I earned by B.A. in drama at Vassar College, with a focus on lighting design, dramaturgy and playwriting

My work focuses on creating immersive experiences that engage and challenge an audience.  By creating intensely designed environments, I explore how we can use live-performance to tell stories in unique and unexpected ways. I specialize in site-specific work, ranging from intimate artists' studios to rolling orchards; black box theaters to the tuns and vats of a brewery.

Sarah Jean Elliott (Selliott) - is a multi-disciplinary artist. Some of her favorite roles include - Lighting Designer, Programmer, Media Designer, Devisor, Dancer, Choreographer, and Educator.  Her research practice includes creating a more inclusive theatre landscape centering on the design practices of Sensory Inclusive Theatre and Theatre for the Very Young. Shane Hennessy (they/them) is a Lighting Designer for Live Performance from Sag Harbor, NY. Shane draws inspiration from Modern & Pop Art, Speculative Fiction novels, and Animation - some favorites being Dan Flavin’s installation work, The Fifth Season by N.K. Yiyuan Li is a Chinese lighting designer currently based in New York City. She is especially interested in collaborating on work that breaks the boundaries of certain culture landscapes. And she is always passionate about finding meaning in abstraction through the manipulation of lights in her process. Outside of design, she enjoys walking on the street with her camera to observe and capture stories.
