Heekyung Kim, an M.F.A. recipient in Live Design and Production with an emphasis in Integrated Media at the University of Texas Austin., also brings a background in theatre directing BFA from Korea. her recent credit includes Very Blue Light (Projection Designer, Texas Theatre and Dance, 2023), Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Projection Designer, Butler Opera Center, 2023), Romeo y Juliet(Projection Designer, Texas Theatre and Dance, 2024), and Star Holds our Stories(Lead Content Designer, FuseBox, 2024) Outside of academic endeavors, she has contributed to productions such as Beetlejuice The Musical NCL Cruise Tour(3d Modeler/Assistant Designer, 2023) and Highway Patrol (Unreal Engine Animator, Goodman Theatre, 2024). Passionate about projection design, She is dedicated to fostering universal understanding through clear and aesthetic visual language.

Sydney Sousa, an M.F.A. recipient in Live Design and Production with an emphasis in Integrated Media at the University of Texas Austin. Recent credits include Ride the Cyclone (Projection Designer, Texas Theatre and Dance 2023), Utah Festival of Opera and Musical Theatre (Projection Designer, 2023), and Star Holds our Stories (Lead Systems Designer, FuseBox, 2024). Sousa is a life-long learner and is always up to the task of solving how a design can come to fruition. She has spent many years and will spend many more continuing her fluency in industry leading technologies such as disguise, QLab, Blender, Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more. In between all of this, Sousa enjoys good food, great cocktails, and viewing life as a party.
