Alyssa Jewell is a scenic designer and visual artist, currently based out of Boston, MA. Her adoration for storytelling and space drive her to create with curiosity. She pulls her inspiration from the world around her, providing global context in her pursuit of expressing works truthfully. With an excitement for multimedia, technology and hands on collaboration, Alyssa creates narrative forward worlds of possibility.

Holding a BA in Theatre Arts (Portland State University) and working toward a MFA in Scenic Design (Boston University), her work in scenic design and video installation illuminate her love of experimentation and technical obstacles. Shifting between worlds on the stage and off, through theatrical, musical and cinematic collaboration, Alyssa creates environments of impact and immersion.

Growing up on a family farm in rural Washington at the heart of the Yakama Nation Reservation, Brandon Riel was exposed to creative storytelling through theatrical and deeply steeped cultural communication.  He has worked with a growing list of production houses including Seattle Opera, Village Theatre, The Jones Playhouse, Taproot Theatre Company, Youth Theatre Northwest, and Forward Flux Productions.  Riel is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Theatre Performance and is completing his MFA in Scenic Design at The University of Washington School of Drama in June.  While at UW, he studied for two years under the late, Tony nominated scenographer, Skip Mercier.  He has also assisted Tony Award winning designer, Todd Rosenthal, and award-winning designer, Andrew Boyce.  In addition to his work in the theatre, Riel collaborates closely in photography and fine art design with award winning photographer, Matthew W. Kennelly.

DJ Pike (He/Him) graduated from The University of Tennessee, earning his MFA in scenic and projection design. Recent Scenic and Projection designs include Hair, Murder on the Orient Express, and She Kills Monsters. Elizabeth Olson is a scenic designer originally from Arizona. She received her B.A. in Theatre Design and Technology with an emphasis in scenic design from the University of Northern Colorado and her M.F.A in scenic design from the University of Connecticut under the mentorship of Alexander Woodward. She is looking to be based in New York City starting the summer of 2023. 

Elizabeth stives to create framing devices that elevate impactful stories. Her passions include model building, painting, photography, assistant art direction, and long walks with her dog. Some of her recent credits include Roe by Lisa Loomer, Rent by Jonathan Larson (Connecticut Repertory Theatre), Snack Vs. Chef on Netflix, and LinkedIn Forward 2022 live stream  (Assistant Art Director). She looks forward to continuing  to make meaningful art and connections through the exploration of storytelling.

Inji Ha is a M.F.A. in Live Design and Production candidate with a focus on scenic design at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her B.F.A. in Theatre Design and Technology with a focus on scenic design and scenic work at Auburn University. Recent design credits include The Tales of Hoffmann (2023), In Sisters We Trusts (2022), Detroit ‘67 (2022), Love and Information (2022), The Elixir of Love (2021), sad women being sad  (2021), and The Theory of Relativity (2019). In October 2018, her work was juried and selected for exhibition at the “International Stage Design Students’ Work Exchange” (ISDSWE) in Beijing. Also, her work was juried and selected for exhibition and awarded at SHOWCASE 2018. Inji has been published twice, first in the SHOWCASE 2018 for her works and second at the ISDSWE.

Mia Irwin is a freelance scenic designer from Colorado. Mia received her BA in Theatre Arts and a Minor in Art and Design from the University of Northern Colorado in May, 2020, and her MFA in Scenic Design at the Pennsylvania State University in May, 2023. Mia also recently won the USITT YDMT Rose Brand Scene Design Award (2023). She is both a scenic designer and a scenic artist, creating engaging and immersive worlds supplementing textual storytelling. She values careful analysis, creative curiosity, and collaboration to craft productions that draw out deeply organic responses from audiences. Her previous credits include the Scenic Designs for Into the Woods (2023, PSU Centre Stage), Metamorphoses (2022), Nostalgia Night (2022), The Wild Party (2021), Dry Land (2021, PSU), and Eurydice (2019, UNC). Upcoming projects include Double Trouble at Bristol Valley Theatre in June, and Shaina Taub’s Twelfth Night at Northern Stage in August, 2023.

Michael Redman (He/Him) is a theater maker and visual/digital artist based in Brooklyn, NY and will be completing his MFA in Design and Technical Production at Brooklyn College - CUNY in May 2023. Michael’s work seeks to explore the expanding intersections of live storytelling, visual art, interactive technology and human connections. His designs employ all tools, from video projections to steel sculpture to detailed woodwork, striving to create dynamic and responsive worlds for performers to connect with audiences. Michael Wogulis (he/him/his) is a scenic designer based in Southern California. He is a double alumnus of UC San Diego, having earned both a BA in Theatre and Communications and an MFA in Scenic Design from the university. Michael is excited by a diverse range of works from plays to opera, classics to new works, and traditional theatre to experimental performances. He’s always looking for new opportunities to expand his perspective as an artist. Steven Velasquez (He/Him) is a New York based Scenic Designer. Steven received a B.F.A. in Theatre arts with a concentration in Design/tech from Five Towns College and is set to graduate with and M.F.A. in Scenic Design from Boston University in May of this year. Steven will be starting as an adjunct professor of Scenic Design this fall at Five Towns College. His passion is in creating space for live audiences but has seen that grow to include film and tv. My thesis aimed to compare design between theatre and film/tv with the desire to branch out into the world of production design. 

He has won the Don Childs and Marvin Simms award for Scenic Design and has been nominated for three Broadway World awards. Recent credits include Mankind (Boston University), West Side Story (Argyle Theatre), Everyday Life… (Arts Emerson).
